Students loved it but never bothered to even ask for a study or how the bags actually break down. But the study was severely flawed. The study was also not available to the general public. But someone found it. What the study showed was the bags were covered in corn starch, whicn increased the bacterial count temporarily. When the corn starch was eaten up the bacteria went away, and the bags were unharmed. The bags never decomposed because bacteria cannot break down plastic.
