My parents are in the area of Detroit suburbs. For the last 11 weeks they have reported it’s very difficult to get toilet paper (bog roll) at the stores. Most of the time the stores are out of toilet paper. So if someone is shipping toilet paper to the stores, that means someone is hoarding it, which also means Meijer is not limiting how many packages or rolls a person buys.
In West Michigan, Grand Rapids area, people can normally get TP but only once was it all sold out, which was in early April.
My sister is in South Carolina and she reports no shortages of TP.
My son is in Kalamazoo Michigan (a college town) and he reports it’s impossible to get alcohol or alcohol gel from any store in town or online for a reasonable price as alcohol is used to clean bongs. (Recreational weed is now legal in Michigan.) One bottle of alcohol normally goes for $2usd but online it’s about $5-10 for that same size bottle which is ridiculous. However I bought him some from Walmart.com and had it shipped. After that I learned it was used to clean bongs.
