TLDR: Almost all of them are ineffective. Sanitizing gels must END UP with at least 60% alcohol and most do not do that.
So here’s the recipe that works.
8 parts 90% alcohol. 1 part aloe vera gel. A few drops of essential oils to make it smell nice. You will end up with more than 60% alcohol so this works. The SARS-COV-2 virus needs at least 60% alcohol to disrupt its cell membranes and destroy it. Or at least prevent it from multiplying. This is the same thing that soap does for bacteria: it disrupts the cell membrane so the cell cannot divide and overwhelm the body’s immune system.
