Service Employees International Union said it found 39 million N95 masks and will help sell them to healthcare personnel. The SEIU-UHW has 97,000 workers in California. The union said it will sell the N95 masks at $5 each but at Home Depot you can get 20 N95 masks for $23.97, that’s $1.20 each. The California union will miss no opportunity to make a huge profit.
One supplier says they can make 20 million masks per week. Another supplier says they can make millions of face shields per week. (Normal surgical masks do not cover the eyes, hence the need for face shields.)
