1 Xephula faq

  2. It's free.
  3. It has posts which support images. No markdown support yet but you can edit posts when you need to.

2 Features

  1. Make posts. You can read posts by date (Recent Updates), by Popular Posts (this might be based on number of comments on a post), or click Discover Posts.
  2. You can block people (of course).
  3. You will get a free user page at http://xephula.com/USERNAME.
  4. You can have a friends list to keep track of them.
  5. There are groups you can subscribe to. "Joined groups" are groups you belong to. "My groups" are groups you created. "Discover" shows you all groups.
  6. There are also events.
  7. Use hashtags to search for, and mark postings.
  8. Also use @USERNAME mentions.
  9. They have posts and articles, which are different.
  10. You can save posts.
  11. In each post you can: upload images, upload a video, upload a file, create a blog entry, create a poll, and more.
  12. You can create a "page". This might be used to sell products.
  13. There are also forums. I'm not sure who creates the forums.
  14. There is a list of trending #hashtags. To see articles with that hashtag just click the hashtag.

2.1 Tech support

  1. The tech support page is here: https://xephula.com/groups/XephulaTechSupport You should automatically become subscribed to that group when you join, but it might take 10 minutes to show up in the groups you are subscribed to.

2.2 Privacy

  1. Fine-tuned, granular privacy features.
  2. You can get verified by submitting a picture ID.
  3. You can download all the information the site has on you, in pieces or all at once.
  4. Two-factor authentication (TFA) available but is optional.
  5. Manage your login sessions and delete them if they are older.
